If you’re a female born under the sign of the goat, you have your work cut out for you.
It’s very easy for Capricorn women to look at dating as just like any other aspect of their life. To put it more plainly, it’s too easy for Capricorn women to look at their dating life as part of their business life or academic life.
They think it’s all about setting goals and objectives. Coming up with the right strategies, making the right selections and taking the right action to achieve the goal.
Talk about straightforward. Talk about mechanical. Talk about sucking the soul out of the dating process!
The dating game should be fun. The dating game should actually be an exploration of who you are as a person. It’s an exploration of your emotions; it’s an exploration of your personality.
It’s a trip to the future regarding your ultimate goals and values in life and you do this when you’re going on date after date with different guys and basically figuring out what’s out there and having that mixture of personalities not just tell you a little bit more about themselves but also a little bit more about yourself.
Dating should be a great process.
Unfortunately, Capricorn women like to reduce dating into one thing and one thing alone. They look at dating as a destination instead of a journey.
Talk about a bad move.
The six dating tips below that I will outline all flow from these facts regarding the female Capricorn personality.
It’s Not All About You
This is probably the most important tip that I can give you.
You can throw the rest of the tips away but if you wrap your mind around this particular tip, you would come out a winner in the dating game.
If you understand this fully, your chances of meeting the right person and falling in love and developing a relationship that can withstand the test of time will be quite good.
You have to remember that dating is not all about you. It’s not about your priorities. It’s not all about what you want. Dating is really all about developing a relationship. A relationship by definition is not about you and your needs.
Nor it’s about the other person’s needs and concerns. It’s more than that. A relationship is actually a third person. It has its own needs; it has its own priorities; it has its own reason for existence.
By understanding this, by being able to live for something outside yourself, something higher than yourself, you open your mind to dating in such a way that you can end up picking the right person which you can have a real meaningful relationship with.
I’m not talking about a relationship of convenience. I’m not talking about a contractual-like situation where if that person cools up and no longer gives you what you’re looking for, you can just click the exit button.
That’s not a real relationship. Instead, that’s a contract. If you’re a typical Capricorn woman, you’re very business-like; you’re very career-driven.
That’s like an opt-out option in your contract. That’s not a real relationship. If you want to get the proper frame of mind for your relationship, you have to truly understand that it’s not all about you.
Career Talk Is Fine…To a Point
Nothing will turn off your date more than when you talk on and on about how awesome your career is or how much money you make with your business.
Worse, the date will probably be cut short or the date will probably have an unhappy ending at some level or another if you talk about your date’s career and how ambitious he is. I know that it’s not very easy for you to resist.
Capricorn people and women included are materialist. You look at the world in material terms.
In other words, you define your emotional and spiritual needs as requiring a material component. This is okay. However, there’s a thin line between being a materialist and being materialistic.
If you focus so much on your career, you end up with a date that is basically all focused on yourself and as I’ve mentioned in tip number 1 above, it’s not all about you.
If you keep talking about yourself, talking about your career, talking about money, two things can happen.
Either you turn off your date so that your date doesn’t want to go out on a second date or your date basically walls you off and thinks to himself, “Well, I can still get her to bed.” In other words, whatever relationship comes out of your date is really just a physical one.
In other words a very superficial one.
I’m not sure if you would be happy with that. Unless that’s what you’re looking for then it’s a good idea to talk about your career up to a certain point.
You’re On a Date – Not a Job Interview
One of the most annoying things about Capricorn women that their dates often complain about is that Capricorn women often conduct dates like they’re on a job interview. They’re not applying for the job; they’re interviewing their date like their date is applying for a job.
Do you understand how intimidating this is? Do you understand how this puts people on the spot?
It’s very off putting and it doesn’t really take long for your date to get a wrong impression of you if you make him feel like he’s applying to be your lover.
There’s No Such Thing as a Loser
Capricorn women may not say it straight out but they always have this concept in their mind of a loser and they’re trying to stay away from that guy.
As a result, they often unfairly paint people as people with no potential. This is a serious problem because when you go on a date, the guy in front of you might not always be obvious with his ambition.
He may not seem like he has his act together but guess what, everyone has a potential.
In many cases, it takes people getting pushed against the wall for their true genius, their true passion to come out. In many cases, it takes guys to reach their 40s until they become millionaires and billionaires.
It often takes guys into their mid-40s or to hit a midlife crisis to discover their true ambition in life. Just because the guy in front of you looks like he’s going nowhere doesn’t give you the right to write him off as a loser.
Let Your Emotional Side Show
If there’s any one common pattern of all the other tips I mentioned above, it is this: they tend to show your hard side, they tend to show your objective, dry side. Guess what? Guys are looking for an emotional relationship.
They’re not looking for business partnership. They’re not just looking for a partner in bed. They’re looking for somebody that they can open their hearts to.
They’re looking for somebody they can trust.
This is why it’s a good idea to let your emotional side show. Be human. This doesn’t mean you have to cry in front of the person. This doesn’t mean that you have to stab your heart open and expose all your wounds and hurts. But be emotional.
They’re looking for a real human being. A real human being has many different sides. There’s an intellectual side; there’s a business side; there’s a rational side and yes, there’s an emotional side. Show all aspects of yourself in the year ahead.
Dating Is A Journey Not A Destination
This is a great tip to wrap up this set of tips. As I’ve mentioned earlier, Capricorn people, women included, tend to look at dating as a destination not a journey.
If you look at dating this way, you’re setting yourself up to fail.
Chances are you will end up with the wrong person. Chances are you might even end up going through several divorces or breaking your heart near the end of your life.
Dating is all about being open to the other person and just letting the process take place. It’s all about losing yourself in the moment and learning from each other and enjoying each other.
